Buick Envision Vs. Chevrolet Equinox
The Chevy Equinox is a popular compact SUV, but it falls short of the Buick Envision in several areas. The Equinox has a 170-hp 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which feels underpowered compared to the Envisions 228-hp 2.0-liter engine. With the second row folded down, the Equinox does have more cargo space with 63.9 cu.-ft. of cargo space. However, the Envision offers plenty of room, too. With the seats up, the Envision offers 25.2 cu.-ft. and with the second row folded, it has 52.7 cu.-ft.
When it comes to technology, the Envision pulls ahead with its standard Buick Infotainment System, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, and available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. The Equinox offers similar features, but its infotainment system is not as intuitive as the Envision's. Safety-wise, both SUVs come standard with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. However, the Envision goes a step further by also including lane-keeping assist with lane departure warnings as standard equipment.
